The Research Center for Computational Simulation (CCS) is the home of several research groups of different universities in Madrid: Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) and Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM).
The mission of the Center is to reach excellence in R+D+I and higher education, whilst offering the most innovative technology across all the disciplines involved in computational simulation.
Un proyecto europeo, liderado por miembros del CCS, conseguirá aviones más baratos, estables y seguros, que contaminan menos y hacen menos ruido.
The aim of this conference is to present new research in the field of high order numerical methods applied to mathematical models based on PDEs to simulate a wide range of physical phenomena.
Even though there have been a large number of proposals to
accelerate databases using specialized hardware, often the opinion of the community is pessimistic: the performance and energy efficiency benefits of specialization are seen to be outweighed by the limitations of the proposed solutions and the additional complexity of including specialized hardware, such as field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), in servers.
