Yesterday, the project for the national quantum communications plan was established, funded by PRTE funds, which will host a real, useful and functional quantum cybersecurity network. Its objectives are technologically viable, achievable today, and measurable.
The successful candidate will explore the application of quantum communications and computation techniques to algorithms for the quantum many body problem.
The work will primarily be part of the research project Mad-Q, a project recently awarded to Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
A job position is offered for a Bachelor’s, Master’s degree (or equivalent) in some computer science specialty at the E-USOC (Spanish User Support and Operations Centre) of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), located on the Montegancedo Campus in Pozuelo de Alarcón, Madrid.
The scholarship will be framed mainly in the research project DISCRETION. The candidate will work on the integration of quantum key distribution systems and encryptors in production facilities, following new network paradigms such as software-defined networks and virtualization of network functions.
Aiming to establish a group of CFD experts at UPM supporting industrial R&D in numerical simulation, a series of work activities have been defined between the company ITP (Industria de Turbopropulsores) and the UPMNumath group (Numerical Mathematics) of the UPM (Polytechnic University of Madrid).
