We present a multiphase model for incompressible flows of two immiscible fluids. Our model solves one shared set of incompressible Navier–Stokes equations for the two phase flow and an additional equation: the Cahn–Hilliard equation, for the evolution of the two fluids distribution.
We present implicit Large Eddy Simulations for NACA0012 airfoils at various Reynolds numbers (Re = 1 × 104, Re = 1 × 105 and Re = 1 × 106) and Angles of Attack (0∘≤ AoA ≤ 10∘) using two discontinuous Galerkin formulations.
In this work, we present an anisotropic p-adaptation multigrid algorithm for discontinuous Galerkin methods for steady-state problems that uses a p-multigrid scheme both as a solver and as an anisotropic error estimator.
We present Large Eddy Simulations and aeroacoustic spectra for three configurations of increasing flow complexity: an isolated NACA0012 airfoil, an isolated rotating vertical axis wind turbine composed of three rotating airfoils and a farm of four vertical axis turbines (with identical characteristics as the isolated turbine), which are located in close proximity.
Cluster headache (CH) belongs to the group III of The International Classification of Headaches. It is characterized by attacks of severe pain in the ocular/periocular area accompanied by cranial autonomic signs, including parasympathetic activation and sympathetic hypofunction on the symptomatic side.
In this contribution, we described a Dynamic Mode Decomposition (DMD) analysis of a turbulent channel flow database at a moderate friction Reynolds number Reτ ≈ 950. More specifically, a composite-based DMD analysis was conducted, employing hybrid snapshots assembled by skin friction Cf (tk ) and either instantaneous Reynolds stress (u′v′(x;tk)) or streamwise velocity fluctuation (u′;xtk)) fields.
