We are currently looking for a motivated individual to conduct research on work in integration on Quantum Key Distribution Systems as a service into real production networks following novel networks paradigm such as Software-Defined Network and Network Function Virtualization. Most of the research work will be conducted in the frame of one of the recently awarded projects in the European Quantum Flagship Program.
Requirements:
- To have degree in Telecommunications, Software Engineering or equivalent; We will also consider last year students.
- To have knowledge on how optical communications work at a physical level, working network communications and the different types of modulations used in telecommunication.
- We will value the knowledge on quantum cryptography, his/her communications skills, and the ability to work as part of a team as well as on his/her own initiative.
The candidate will join the research group on Quantum Information and Computation (www.gcc.fi.upm.es) at the Center for Computational Simulation (www.ccs.upm.es), in collaboration with the Future Network Lab in Telefónica.
