We are currently offering two positions to do research in the area of novel communications networks and quantum key distribution. We are looking for motivated individuals with a degree in engineering, computer science (or equivalent if relevant qualifications are presented) willing to do research in the integration of quantum communications in telecommunications networks.
We expect the candidate to be familiar with optical communications networks. Most of the work will be conducted in the frame of one of the recently awarded projects in the European Quantum Flagship Program. The candidate will get a profound knowledge in novel networks paradigms applied to the integration of quantum communications, in particular quantum key distribution, and work in a team that mixes university as well as industry led research in cooperation with Telefónica, the major telecommunication provider in Spain.
The positions are for three years, extensible up to four after final evaluation and if the candidate is willing to pursue a PhD. The work will start as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
