The flow over the incompressible open cavity has been studied both numerically and experimentally in previous works. In these studies the in-depth linear stability analysis of the problem provided a detailed description of the flow features in the linear regime, where span-wise periodic perturbations over a steady two-dimensional flow were studied.
As the number of detected extrasolar planets increases, exoplanet databases become a valuable resource, confirming some details about planetary formation but also challenging our theories with new, unexpected properties.
Recent advances in tactile rendering span, among others, wearable cutaneous interfaces, tactile rendering algorithms, or nonlinear soft skin models. However, the adoption of these advances for multi-finger tactile rendering of dexterous grasping and manipulation is hampered by the computational cost incurred with nonlinear skin models when applied to the full hand.
We present a study of the clustering and halo occupation distribution of Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS) CMASS galaxies in the redshift range 0.43 < z < 0.7 drawn from the Final SDSS-III Data Release.
Data centers are huge power consumers and their energy consumption keeps on rising despite the efforts to increase energy efficiency. A great body of research is devoted to the reduction of the computational power of these facilities, applying techniques such as power budgeting and power capping in servers.
Heart rate turbulence (HRT) has been successfully explored for cardiac risk stratification. While HRT is known to be influenced by the heart rate (HR) and the coupling interval (CI), nonconcordant results have been reported on how the CI influences HRT. The purpose of this study is to investigate HRT changes in terms of CI and HR by means of an especially designed protocol.
