In this article, we describe the work carried out for developing an accurate and fast numerical method that can efficiently integrate the mathematical model of natural gas flow in a pipeline under non-isothermal steady-state conditions.
The analysis of the causes behind the appearance and propagation of delays is one of the major topics inside Air Transport Management research.
In this work, we have developed a learning system capable of exploiting information conveyed by longitudinal Electronic Health Records (EHRs) for the prediction of a common postoperative complication, Anastomosis Leakage (AL), in a data-driven way and by fusing temporal population data from different and heterogeneous sources in the EHRs.
Nowadays, embedded systems are provided with cache memories that are large enough to influence in both performance and energy consumption as never occurred before in this kind of systems. In addition, the cache memory system has been identified as a component that improves those metrics by adapting its configuration according to the memory access patterns of the applications being run.
In this paper, we present a new view of the PageRank algorithm inspired by multiplex networks. This new approach allows to introduce a new centrality measure for classic complex networks and a new proposal to extend the usual PageRank algorithm to multiplex networks.
Rock avalanches move large volumes of material causing a highly destructive power over large areas. In these events, it is possible to monitor the evolution of slopes but failure cannot be always prevented.
