We explore the relation between lattice versions of strict singularity for operators from a Banach lattice to a Banach space. In particular, we study when the class of disjointly strictly singular operators, those not invertible on the span of any disjoint sequence, coincides with that of lattice strictly singular operators, i.e. those not invertible on any (infinite dimensional) sublattice.
This paper presents an evolutionary based method to obtain the un-stressed lattice spacing, d0, required to calculate the residual stress profile across a weld of an age-hardenable aluminum alloy, AA2024. Due to the age-hardening nature of this alloy, the d0 value depends on the heat treatment.

Recent trends in the microprocessor industry have important ramifications for the design of the next generation of high-performance as well as embedded parallel and network-based systems.
Near-field cosmology is practised by studying the Local Group (LG) and its neighbourhood. This paper describes a framework for simulating the ‘near field’ on the computer.
