This paper extends the Image Source Model (ISM) to an open cavity with non-parallel walls by including edge diffraction. Explicit expressions are deduced for the calculation of the IS positions for two non-parallel walls.
Cardiac navigation systems (CNS) are often used in electrophysiological studies to create spatial-electrical maps supporting the arrhythmia mechanism identification. Sequentially recorded electrograms yield the bioelectrical information from features such as voltage and activation times in terms of their spatial location, which are subsequently interpolated for building the electroanatomical map (EAM) of the cardiac chamber.
The Baryon Acoustic Oscillation (BAO) feature in the power spectrum of galaxies provides a standard ruler to measure the accelerated expansion of the Universe.
Future dark energy experiments will require better and more accurate theoretical predictions for the baryonic acoustic oscillations (BAO) signature in the spectrum of cosmological perturbations.
We have simulated the formation of a galaxy cluster in a Λ cold dark matter universe using 13 different codes modelling only gravity and non-radiative hydrodynamics (RAMSES, ART, AREPO, HYDRA and nine incarnations of GADGET).
Accurately predicting structural properties of dark matter halos is one of the fundamental goals of modern cosmology.
