Despite the international importance of teak (Tectona grandis) plantations, very few studies have been published on fertilisation, generally with inconsistent conclusions. To evaluate the effect of N-P-K fertilisation on teak stands of different ages and related factors, four N-P-K fertilisation trials were analysed over an 11-year chronosequence in northern lowlands of Costa Rica.
The security of quantum key distribution protocols is guaranteed by the laws of quantum mechanics. However, a precise analysis of the security properties requires tools from both classical cryptography and information theory.
This paper describes the mechanical design of ATLAs 2020, a pediatric exoskeleton that allow rehabilitating walking capability, developed by CAR-CISC research center in close cooperation with Marsi-Bionics company.
The Rayleigh-Taylor instability (RTI) in an infinite slab where a constant density lower fluid is initially separated from an upper stratified fluid is discussed in linear regime. The upper fluid is of increasing exponential density and surface tension is considered between both of them.
This paper addresses the identification of the most important input parameters in a natural gas transmission model, in particular regarding their possible effects on pressure and temperature drops. This model has the peculiarity that a significant number of its uncertain input parameters are dependent on each other.
Using a series of cosmological simulations that includes one dark-matter-only (DM-only) run, one gas cooling–star formation–supernova feedback (CSF) run and one that additionally includes feedback from active galactic nuclei (AGNs), we classify the large-scale structures with both a velocity-shear-tensor code (VWEB) and a tidal-tensor code (PWEB).
