We present a comparison between approximated methods for the construction of mock catalogues based on the halo-bias mapping technique. To this end, we use as reference a high-resolution N-body simulation of 38403 dark matter particles on a 400 h-1 Mpc cube box from the Multidark suite.
Galaxy clustering measurements can be used to constrain many aspects of galaxy evolution, including galaxy host halo masses, satellite quenching efficiencies, and merger rates. We simulate JWST galaxy clustering measurements at z ∼ 4-10 by utilizing mock galaxy samples produced by an empirical model, the UNIVERSEMACHINE.
We present a nodal Discontinuous Galerkin (DG) scheme for the Cahn–Hilliard equation that satisfies the summation–by–parts simultaneous–approximation–term (SBP–SAT) property.
The first part of this paper surveys several results on the lattice structure of variable exponent Lebesgue function spaces (or Nakano spaces) Lp(⋅)(Ω). In the second part strictly singular and disjointly strictly singular operators between spaces Lp(⋅)(Ω) are studied.
Aquifer-systems have become a strategic source of fresh water in the present climatic conditions, especially under stress in arid regions like the Iberian Mediterranean Arc. Understanding the behavior of groundwater reservoirs is crucial to their well-management and mitigation of adverse consequences of overexploitation.
In this paper, some results concerning the PageRank versatility measure for multiplex networks are given. This measure extends to the multiplex setting the well‐known classic PageRank.
