We analyze the validity of Bell and Kochen-Specker theorems under local (or noncontextual) realism but avoiding an assumption of the existence of a joint probability distribution for incompatible observables.
A volcanic eruption early warning has to be launched with effectiveness and within the shortest time possible, which imposes the requirement of using real-time (RT) systems. In this setting, volcano-monitoring systems using wireless sensor networks (WSNs) may play a key role.
Interactive dexterous manipulation of virtual objects remains a complex challenge that requires both appropriate hand models and accurate physically-based simulation of interactions.

We present the development and validation of an output-based mesh adaptation approach which combines the adjoint methodology with the τ-estimation technique for truncation error estimation.
The features of the incompressible flow over a rectangular open cavity are studied both numerically, using linear stability analysis, and experimentally in previous works by the authors. Those approaches refer to different states of the flow. The numerical analysis refers to a linear small perturbation superimposed over a two dimensional steady state, while the experimental work studies the complete saturated flow regime, with spanwise walls.
