We are looking for a motivated individual willing to do research and developments based on the integration of cryptographic techniques using Quantun Key Distribution Systems on real telecommunications networks.
We expect the candidate to be familiar with modern network paradigms like SDN and NFV as well as classical and quantum cryptographic techniques. We also expect knowledge on transport and security protocols as well as a good level on programing laguages like Python, C and C++. We will value the candidate’s ability to work as part of a team, on his/her own initiative, and his/her communications skills.

Most of the research work will be conducted in the frame of the european project OpenQKD. The candidate will work in integration of classical cryptographic techniques using Quantum Key Distribution Systems in novel networks paradigm. He/she will do work on topics around quantum communications, such as interfaces, innovative network architectures and optimization, network software deployments, etc.

The candidate will join the research group on Quantum Information and Computation (www.gcc.fi.upm.es) at the Center for Computational Simulation (www.ccs.upm.es), in collaboration with the Future Network Lab in Telefónica.
