This talk presents evidence of new scaling laws found in the human voice, originating at temporal scales below the phoneme, where the underlying mechanisms are not cognitive but only rely on the physiology of voice production.

Even though there have been a large number of proposals to
accelerate databases using specialized hardware, often the opinion of the community is pessimistic: the performance and energy efficiency benefits of specialization are seen to be outweighed by the limitations of the proposed solutions and the additional complexity of including specialized hardware, such as field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), in servers.

La mortalidad materna y neonatal sigue siendo muy alta a nivel mundial, pese a que su reducción es un objetivo establecido en los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible de las Naciones Unidas. Este artículo evalúa el impacto del cribado de embarazos de riesgo en un entorno rural a través de un sistema de ecografía portátil combinado con pruebas rápidas de sangre y orina.
